Surely every parent has at least once come across the fact that a child wants his own pet as a gift. In most cases, the refusal is motivated by the fact that the adults themselves have to take care of the animal, and not the children. Often, adults themselves do not allow the child to take care of the animal, believing that he will not cope.
Such an acquisition is a serious matter, you need to weigh well the pros and cons, so that later you do not have to think about where to attach your pet. After all, animals get sick, shed, they need their place in the apartment, you need to remember about nutrition (quantity and quality of food), walk, not on all trips you can take it with you, some animals create a lot of noise and they have their own character.
But if the parents do decide to buy, it is worthwhile to stipulate in advance who will perform what duties. If the child is small, then you can start with minor tasks, for example, wash your paws after a walk, and when the child has mastered this ritual, entrust him with the next task. This will teach children responsibility and independence, discipline them. In addition, the child becomes liberated, becomes more sociable, self-confident, which contributes to his development. Young children develop personal qualities more quickly, such as: caring, respectful attitude, perception of natural beauty, fantasy and logical thinking. Most often, children who have a beloved pet at home will not scoff at stray animals.
It is worth remembering the therapeutic effect - animals are able to provide both an emotional and positive result, and to alleviate the course of some diseases. Contrary to popular belief that pets cause allergies, research shows they can boost immunity by encouraging walking.
But you have to be careful. The life span of an animal is not long, and the death of a pet can be a shock and stress for a child.
Children copy the behavior of their parents. That is, the child will behave with the animal in the same way as the parents treat the pet. If a person treats an animal like a family member with respect and love, then the pet will respond in kind, be affectionate and obedient.
