Step 1
If you were officially employed before going on maternity leave, take your baby's passport and birth certificate and go to the HR department of your company. There, the specialist will ask you to write an application for a monthly child benefit until they reach the age of 1.5 years. Also, an employee of the personnel department will make photocopies of documents himself. If you are not a single mother, the accounting department will also need a certificate from your husband's place of work stating that he will not receive child support at his work.
Step 2
Write a statement to the accounting department, according to what scheme you need to calculate monthly payments. Until December 31, 2012, the accountant has the right to calculate your benefits “in the old way” or “in the new way”. Ask him in advance to calculate in which case you will receive more money. "Old" - this means that the total amount of your salary for the previous year will be divided by the number of days actually worked. 40% of the resulting number will become child support. When calculating "in a new way", your salary for 2 years will be taken and divided by 730 days. The law provides for the maximum amount of the allowance - in 2012 it is 14,625 rubles.
Step 3
If you were considered unemployed before your maternity leave, contact your local social welfare office to apply for benefits. In this case, in addition to the child's birth certificate, your passport and a certificate from your spouse's place of work, you will also need a copy of your work record book and a certificate from the employment service stating that you do not receive unemployment benefits.
Step 4
If you go on maternity leave, being a full-time student of the university, the child support will be issued and paid to you at the educational institution.
Step 5
Remember that monthly payments will remain with you if you enter the service (but only on a part-time basis) or work from home.
Step 6
According to a similar scheme, your spouse can also issue a monthly allowance if he will sit with the baby.
