Of course, it is useful, in fact, it is necessary that the child by the time of entering the first grade be able to at least slowly read and understand what he has read. Without a close acquaintance with numbers and the ability to add-subtract within ten at a school desk, it will also be difficult. But any lack of information is much easier to fill for a child who has been taught to reason logically, and the baggage of knowledge given to the future schoolchild in the family and kindergarten will very soon begin to be lacking for successfully overcoming the school curriculum. For this reason, along with familiarity with the outside world, reading and the basics of mathematics, it is necessary to develop logical thinking in children.
Step 2
The first steps in this area should be completely invisible to the child and have the character of conversation or play. Of course, an adult will have to speak mainly. “You ate the apple yourself, but there is enough watermelon for everyone, it’s much larger than an apple”, “Why is the grass wet? It was raining! That's right”,“Someone is barking in the yard, there is probably someone there? That's right, a dog,”and if the child supplements this conclusion with his opinion that a dog is barking at a cat or that a person is walking with the dog, it means that he has joined your logical game and accepted the rules.
Step 3
When the child is already quite confident in drawing conclusions, it is necessary to offer him for solving life situations: "We need to go to the store, and it is raining outside, what are we going to do?" To listen to options, possibly ridiculous, to praise those where logical reasoning sounds, and if you choose another option, then just as briefly and logically justify it.
Step 4
For a preschooler who is already familiar with the solution of the simplest arithmetic examples, it will be useful to discuss why that number is less than this, and “more” - “less” for clarity can be presented in the form of actions with objects, “Five felt-tip pens, you took two away, removed, has become three, is it less?.
