Playing the store is a favorite pastime of many, many generations of children. The child rethinks observations and learns actions that will be very useful to him in the future. Step 1
You can make all the attributes for playing in the store with your child. Dummies can be molded, for example, from salt dough or cold porcelain, adding food coloring to it. Such activities are also useful for the development of fine motor skills, so that you will kill two birds with one stone. However, in the store you can sell everything that is at hand. The child will easily imagine that the cubes are potatoes, there are real sweets in an empty box, and real sand is not in a paper bag, but real. The main thing is to agree before the game what subject should be considered as what.
Step 2
Distribute roles. Someone must be a buyer, and someone must be a seller or a cashier. In the process, you can change, as well as take on several roles (for example, a loader or a senior salesperson). Surely your child has already been to a chain store, where customers pick up the goods themselves, and in a small shop in the yard, where the seller serves candy and ice cream, he knocks out a check and gives change.
Step 3
Set aside a space for the game. Products can be laid out on a table, in a cupboard, or even on a carpet. If there is no toy cash register, it doesn’t matter. It can be made from thick cardboard. A large cube from a construction set will also work. It is not at all necessary to draw buttons, children's imagination is quite enough to present them. A roll of window paper can be placed on top. The cashier will simply tear off a piece and issue a check. Money can be cut from colored paper. You can also make cardboard cards for cashless payments - most likely, your child has already seen how they pay with it.
Step 4
Offer your child the role of a cashier. Pick a few items and place them on the table. The cashier "brings them to the scanner", "knocks out the check", "accepts the money", "gives change", offers a plastic bag. In the process, you can talk about what product is not on sale and when it will be delivered.
Step 5
If there are several players, you can assign roles as follows. Someone will be a cashier, someone will be a buyer, someone will lay out and transfer goods, because in chain stores this is done quite often. One of the players can weigh vegetables (you can buy a toy scale or make it yourself from a board and a cube). In a large store there are different departments, in some the customers take what they need themselves, in others they are assisted by the salespeople.
Step 6
An older preschool child will be great at playing the store without other players. If he has several dolls, one of them will certainly become a salesman-cashier, the rest - buyers, merchandisers, security guards and other characters.
