Toys made of cotton wool can be made with your own hands with your child. Such a toy, in which a piece of the soul is embedded, will help the kid learn to appreciate human labor. Or maybe it will be a good memento for a loved one.

It is necessary

Cotton wool or cotton balls, gouache, brush, PVA glue, pieces of knitted fabric, matches, beads

Instructions

Step 1

Crafts and volumetric toys made of cotton wool are environmentally friendly, easy to manufacture, a variety of shapes and textures. Cotton wool is inexpensive, easily wrinkled and rolled, painted in any bright colors. But it's better to start your acquaintance with wadded toys with something simple, for example, with a carrot or a snowman for a Christmas tree. To make a simple toy, you will need a simple, unpainted cotton wool from the pharmacy, from which it is easy to roll balls from a walnut. It is even more convenient to use ready-made cosmetic cotton balls, you can use multi-colored ones.

Step 2

To make a snowman, you need to roll or choose the largest cotton ball and the smaller ball. The parts are glued together with PVA glue, which, when dried, becomes invisible on the product. While the glue dries, you can find or prepare other parts for the toy: a carrot nose, hands and feet from matches, a bucket on the head from a bottle cap, beads for eyes. A scarf will complement the image of a snowman - a knitted strip of any bright fabric. The bottom of the snowman must be generously impregnated with glue and glued to a piece of cardboard or dense material for stability.

Step 3

To mold a carrot, you need to distribute a small amount of glue on your palms and roll a small sausage with a wider base out of cotton wool. Mixing with glue, the cotton wool becomes denser and more plastic. If this is a toy for a Christmas tree, at the beginning of rolling, glue a loop of dense green thread into the middle of the product and continue to roll the cone. The finished carrot is covered with several layers of PVA glue mixed with orange gouache. Drying, such paint will not get dirty. The tops of the carrots are dyed dark green, and the same principle can be used to make rolls, buns, bagels and other baked goods for children's play, while saving on expensive plastic toys. And believe me, the child will play with these homemade toys with great interest.
