Musical toys are essential in the development of a preschooler. Mastering sounds of different heights and loudness, the baby gets an idea of the variety of musical sound. Rattles, rattles, tambourines and homemade wooden spoons will truly delight your little one.

Rattle or noise box

To create a noise box, pick up jars of the same size at home, for example, from tooth powder. Wash them and pour in them: millet, peas and beans. Close the noise box lids tightly. Now we need to give an interesting look to this musical instrument. To do this, glue each jar with colored self-adhesive paper. Glue with an overlap so that the jar does not accidentally open and the cereal does not spill out. Show your child the finished toy and show how to use it. Explain that sounds differ in volume.

Xylophone

To create a xylophone, you need 7 identical glass bottles. First, arrange them in a row on the table. Pour water into each bottle: in the first - 1/7 cup, in the next bottle - 2/7, then - 3/7 and so on all the rest. Now prepare a teaspoon that you can tap on each bottle.

When making a homemade version of a xylophone, note that the less water there is in the bottle, the lower the sound it makes.

Ratchet

The easiest way to make such a toy is with clothespins and a rope about 30 cm long. Suggest that the child fasten the clothespins to the rope and tie both ends. Demonstrate to your child how you can use this ratchet by fingering the clothespins slowly or quickly.

Wooden spoons

Making wooden spoons is not easy, but decorating them is quite within the power of mom and baby. Purchase two pre-made wooden spoons and acrylic paint with brushes from the hardware store. Together with your child, decorate the spoons with a colored pattern, and leave them to dry in a dark place for 12 hours.

It is important not only to master the play of children's musical instruments, but also to create them together with the baby.

When time has passed, check if the paint has dried well and play with your baby: first tap one spoon against the other, then tap with both spoons on a flat surface. You can play along with your favorite song with wooden spoons.

Tambourine

To make a tambourine, you will need disposable cardboard plates, a stapler, and any cereal. Place some cereal on one plate, cover it with the other, and staple the two plates tightly together. Now you can paint with acrylic paint or alcohol markers. The drawing must dry well so as not to erase it during the game and not get dirty.
