Over time, dirty toys become simply dangerous - they accumulate both bacteria and dust mites. Dust can cause allergies. Strictly speaking, it is necessary to clean soft toys a couple of times a month, but few mothers are capable of such feats.
If the stains and dirt are not particularly strong, you can simply exhaust the products from dust, vacuum and dry if a washing vacuum cleaner was used. You can play toys in the car if there are no parts that threaten to fall off. But for toys with a musical element inside, this method is hardly suitable.
How to wash fabric or fur toys
Quality products will certainly have a label sewn into the seam. On it, special icons or with the help of text indicate which care is recommended for this product. There may be an indication of care using hand wash, dry cleaning, gentle wash with an automatic machine.
To wash soft toys, it is necessary to select such a product that would not harm the child when he again plays with the washed and dried pet. Toys made of velor, knitted, without plastic parts can be washed by placing them in a machine in a special net for washing delicate items. The safest is still the manual method of washing with the use of laundry, baby soap and subsequent rinsing. For example, if a stuffed toy contains a musical element, it is best to wash it by hand.
Washing musical toys
Soft toys with music, which have a special mechanism inside or a large number of glue parts that threaten to come off during washing, are best washed without a washing machine.
Dissolve a little delicate detergent, shampoo, dishwashing liquid in warm water. Beat the water slightly - until soap bubbles appear. In the resulting composition, you need to moisten a sponge or a piece of flannel, with which you gently clean the product. With such cleaning, you must try so that water does not penetrate inside, does not wet the filler of the product. In this case, the sponge should be rinsed and squeezed more often so as not to smudge the dirt.
There are also some children's toys where the music unit can be pulled out. It is very convenient: just take out the device and wash the product in a washing machine. You can try dry cleaning: put a toy in a polyethylene bag of a suitable size and pour a third of a glass of soda, then shake the bag vigorously for a while. After that, the lumps of soda and dirt are removed from the surface of the product with a vacuum cleaner.
