Step 1
Having drained the milk into a sterile container, decide how long it needs to be stored. If feeding is planned in an hour or an hour and a half, then nothing will happen to milk at room temperature, unless, of course, there is a thirty-degree heat outside. It is allowed to store expressed milk in the refrigerator throughout the day without losing its beneficial properties.

If you plan to store expressed milk for a long time, it is best to freeze it. You can use baby food jars or small plastic bags with clips in the form of fasteners for this. Some mum manufacturers sell special milk containers with screw lids. They have ready-made divisions with the designation of the volume, which allows the mother to know exactly how much milk is in the container. They are ideal for storing food in the refrigerator. It is most convenient to use bags in the freezer, as they take up little space. Pour enough milk so that you can use it straight away. You cannot freeze it again, as it becomes useless.
Step 3
After the milk is poured into the storage container, attach a sticker to it with the date of filling and the volume. This information will be useful, since it is from this date that the shelf life of breast milk will be counted.
