Thanks to reading, a person develops imagination and abstract thinking, memory and attention. If you take two people with the same abilities, one reading, the other not, then we can confidently say that the reader will achieve greater success in life. To instill a love of books should start from childhood, and it is best to do this with the help of fairy tales.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose the right fairy tales for your child. "Dwarf Nose" read to a three-year-old kid will be as irrelevant as "Kolobok" read to a first grader. A fairy tale must be age-appropriate: it must be both understandable and developing at the same time. For example, the smallest children need fairy tales with constantly repeating plot moves and a small vocabulary ("Kolobok", "Turnip", "Ryaba Chicken", etc.), older children (3-6 years old) need more complicated stories (poetic tales Chukovsky, Mikhalkov's fables, Suteev's tales), from the age of 6 you can turn to more voluminous works ("The Adventures of Buratino" by A. Tolstoy, fairy tales by T. Yanson and A. Lindgren). However, each child is individual, therefore, first of all, start from the level of his development.

Step 2

Take a fairy tale with colorful illustrations and read it with your child. Reading must be active. Sit the kid on his knees or next to him, show him all the characters in the illustrations, ask questions ("What do you think Gingerbread man did?").

Step 3

Ask the child what he understood after reading the fairy tale? What have you learned? How would he behave in the place of a hero? What seemed to him good and what was bad? What do you remember the most? Sometimes it is worth adjusting the position of the child. For example, the kid takes pity on the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood. Focus the child's attention on the fact that the wolf does bad things in the fairy tale, for which he is punished.

Step 4

Play a fairy tale with your child. Unleash your imagination and that of a child. You can improvise, introduce new characters, but the meaning of the tale must remain unchanged.
