There is a lot of things in our time in order to occupy the child's attention: cartoons, picture books, video games, audio recordings with fairy tales … But what if your child asks you to come up with a fairy tale especially for him? Of course, it's easier for him to turn on his favorite cartoon and leave to go about his business. But easier is not always better. Children need our attention, our closeness. Otherwise, they will begin to prefer our society to cartoon characters who will not be scolded for unlearned lessons and scattered toys.
Instructions
Step 1
First, remember which fairy tales and which characters the child likes. If your daughter adores fairies and sorcerers, she is unlikely to be interested in a fairy tale about robots. Let the main character carry the features of your baby's favorite hero, and at the same time, in some way resemble the child himself, in appearance or in character. The hero may be a little older than the listener of the fairy tale, but let them not be separated by too much age difference. The child will follow the adventures of such a hero with great interest, empathizing with him.
Step 2
Do not overdo it when you come up with negative characters: no matter how your baby starts to be afraid of them seriously. However, if the child already has some specific fear, let the fairy tale help him overcome.
Step 3
You can base your fairy tale on a real problem for your child, such as fear of the dark or dislike of cleaning. You can write a story about a little fairy who lost her wand because she had a mess in her room, or about an owlet who was afraid of the dark.
Step 4
Think of friends for the main character who will support him in a difficult situation. Let the hero help them by showing that he is strong enough to cope with his difficulties.
Step 5
As the story approaches the denouement, the problem of the protagonist must be solved by the joint efforts of himself and his friends. Do not rely too much on magic or mechanisms of the future - let the hero show courage, endurance, intelligence. Then the child will feel that victory over his fears and failures is in his hands, even if he does not have a magic wand or a laser pistol.
Step 6
The villain must be defeated, but you should not invent a terrible death for him: it is better to let something happen to him that makes him funny and not at all dangerous. Have the child laugh at their fear. A negative character can also go over to the side of the heroes, change for the better, rethinking his behavior. This will help the child avoid unnecessary aggression in his ideas about methods of solving life problems.
Step 7
If your child enjoyed listening to your story, and you enjoyed composing it, be prepared to be asked for a sequel soon. Sketching a storyline in your spare time will help you take your mind off your day-to-day problems. Many children's books were born due to the fact that the author just decided to write down a fairy tale composed for his children at his leisure … Maybe your heroes also have a chance to settle under a book cover?
