How often, on cold winter evenings, you remember the summer, the sun, the sea … Surely, you have sea pebbles or shells somewhere. They can be used wonderfully - to make some original craft together with the child, which will remind of the sea. Although adults will be pleased to work with such a wonderful natural material. In addition, instead of a stale pile of shells in the package, you will find a unique hand-made product that will decorate your home.

Instructions

Step 1

The shells can be glued to almost any surface using a strong universal glue (for example, "Moment" - "extra strong" will do). DIY an original frame for your vacation photo. Take the most ordinary wooden photo frame and use glue to attach the shells to it. Try to place them close to each other so that there are no empty spaces

Step 2

Using shells, you can create a postcard or even a panel. Take a base - thick paper, cardboard, canvas. Think about the composition in advance. Your panel can be abstract or, conversely, with a complete plot. Best of all, if you draw a sketch, which will indicate the approximate location of all elements. The paper base can be painted in any color. For the panel, use not only shells, but also any other material - fabric, beads, beads, sand, decorative stones, dried flowers and grass. Art stores offer a wide variety of materials to inspire your creativity. They can be fixed with Moment glue. Some elements (lighter than shells) can be glued with ordinary PVA. Be sure to frame your panel

Step 3

Seashells can be used to decorate a vase, bottle, flower pot or pencil holder. First, cover the surface of the bottle (or vase) with plasticine, and then press in different things, in this case, shells. You can go further - buy a mixture at a hardware store or an art store, such as "Rotgips". Such a base will create the effect of a natural shell rock. Using a spatula, apply the mixture to the product (vase or bottle) that you want to decorate, and quickly, until everything is dry, press the shells into it

Step 4

Another idea for an original craft: self-mold the desired shape (for example, a pencil holder) out of clay (sold in stationery stores or in the departments for artists). While the product is still wet, press in the shells. It is not difficult to sculpt from clay - the process reminds everyone of the long-familiar work with plasticine.
