Many couples practice interrupted intercourse, calling it another method of contraception. They see many advantages in using this method. But in fact, it turns out that the disadvantages of this method of protection are much more.
If we talk about the advantages of this method of preventing unwanted pregnancy, then its fans are captivated, first of all, by its availability: it absolutely does not require any costs, it is enough just to agree with a partner and hope that he will be able to stop in time to remove the penis from the vagina. But there is no need to rush to the pharmacy or to the doctor, nothing interferes with the satisfaction of a suddenly flared up passion.
Another advantage of interrupted intercourse is the naturalness of sensations. Many people note that the need to use a condom or a birth control candle greatly reduces libido and disrupts the harmony of love foreplay.
However, the disadvantages of this method significantly "outweigh" its advantages.
First of all, this is, of course, the risk of an unplanned pregnancy. Research shows that the likelihood of conception when using interrupted intercourse as a method of contraception is about 30%.
Thus, almost every third sexual contact of this kind leads to the fertilization of an egg.
Someone may argue that they have been successfully using this method for many years, but in reality it resembles a game of "Russian roulette": there is never any confidence that the next intercourse will not end with pregnancy.
Gynecologists believe that in a couple who have successfully practiced interrupted intercourse for a year or more, one of the partners has serious fertility problems.
The problem with using this method is that a man is not always able to control the reactions of his body so that he can remove his penis when the first signs of oncoming ejaculation appear. On the contrary, at such a moment he instinctively seeks to enter even deeper into his partner, and in order to resist this natural desire, he must have the will and be sufficiently aware of his responsibility to the woman.
In addition, do not forget that sperm are contained not only in the ejaculate, but also in the lubricant that is released from the man's seminal canal during intercourse. Theoretically, they can successfully fertilize an egg, especially since they are, as a rule, the most nimble and active of their "brothers".
For a man's health, this method of protection is also not safe. When using it, the natural functioning of the prostate gland is disrupted: it does not contract completely, as a result of which congestion may occur. This, in turn, is fraught with such serious problems as prostatitis, decreased potency and even neurasthenia!
For a woman, the use of interrupted intercourse also gives more problems than pleasure: realizing the risk of becoming pregnant, and, at the same time, not being able to fully control the situation, she cannot fully relax during sexual contact. And this greatly reduces the pleasure of intimacy and the likelihood of her orgasm.
Moreover, such sexual contact is not protected, i.e. the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease is very high. This method should never be used with a casual partner.
Thus, only stable couples who, in principle, are not against the birth of heirs, can use this method of contraception without worrying too much about the possible consequences.
