This is a difficult question for every parent. According to psychological practice, a child who is completely unable to fight back can grow up weak, unable to stand up for himself. What is the right thing to do?

If the child does not respond to blows and attacks, then he becomes a potential object for further aggressive actions and ridicule from peers. The other side of this coin is a child who knows how to fight back, fight, can grow up aggressive towards other people, become angry and offend other children.

First you need to understand why the child is being attacked. If this happens through his own fault, perhaps he did some meanness or an unpleasant act that other children do not want to accept, then it is necessary to try to correct the conflict situation. First you need to talk to the offenders, admit your guilt, and apologize. In the future, try not to become the main object in such situations.

But it also happens when they attack for absolutely no reason. In this case, of course, you need to fight back. Today you can't just sit and wait until you are completely pecked. In any case, when a conflict arises, the child should talk with the class teacher, with his loved ones, and not sit, buried in a pillow and cry.

Parents, on the other hand, should not leave their child alone with the current problem. There are such mothers and fathers who tell the child: "go and figure it out yourself" or "go away, don't complain to me." From the point of view of psychologists, this is absolutely not the right tactic. Children should feel constant protection and support in their loved ones. Parents can be advised one thing: let the child go in for sports, go to various martial arts sections, let him know how to protect himself from aggressive people. He must also understand that fighting for no reason is not good, you need to be able to negotiate with the enemy in words. Any child should grow up well-mannered and happy. And waving fists is the business of idlers and hooligans.

It is the responsibility of the parents to explain what is good and what is bad; the child should not be allowed in any case to withdraw into himself. At this age, they still have an unformed psyche, as a result of which many cases of suicide occur due to misunderstandings and quarrels with other children.
