Not a single caring parent will allow a child to watch cartoons all day. Yet it often happens that children learn to watch cartoons in excess of the norm. Then you should restrict TV viewing.

Instructions

Step 1

For many parents, the TV is often used to create a background during some activities: cleaning, ironing, cooking. Or parents, when they are busy with their own affairs, send the child to watch cartoons so that he is quiet and does not get in the way. Of course, if the house does not have a clear framework for watching cartoons, the child can watch them for hours. And then no persuasion or persuasion will work. Therefore, the first point to limit the viewing of cartoons will be to develop a rule for how many minutes a child can watch TV.

Step 2

At the same time, the age of the baby should also be taken into account: it is better not to let the child near cartoons and programs at all until 1 year old. Even a small amount of time alone with bright moving pictures can overexcite his psyche. It is better to allow the baby to perceive the real world as it is, and not through the screen. From 2 to 3 years old, it is already possible to watch cartoons, this is becoming one of the elements of the child's socialization in the world, but do not allow to sit in front of the screen for more than 15 minutes a day.

Step 3

The point is not only that it is harmful to vision, but also that at this age the child is actively learning to speak. Observing cartoon characters with poor articulation, the child will later get used to this speaking model and will reproduce it, which threatens to go to a speech therapist at the age of 5-6 years. Already today, more than half of all children suffer from speech therapy problems and cannot pronounce sounds due to watching a huge number of cartoons and a lack of communication with adults. From 3 years old until school age, a child can spend no more than 1 hour in front of the screen, and from 7 years old - no more than 2 hours a day, but even then you need to take breaks.

Step 4

The rule limiting the time for watching cartoons should be very strict and should not change depending on your mood, state, unwillingness to spend time with your child. Cartoons cannot be used as a means of distracting a child from communicating with a parent. When you yourself follow the rule of watching cartoons, the child will also accept it and will not get upset, throw tantrums and cry. In order for the child himself to be able to control the time at the screen, you can buy an hourglass for him or teach him to understand the usual. This will increase his responsibility and reduce his dependence on the control of an adult.

Step 5

Teach your child to do other things as well: let him draw, sculpt, make, and put mosaics on his own. Do not refuse him to communicate with you: the child will always prefer playing with his mom or dad to heartless watching a cartoon. Remember, even young children need to be taught about responsibilities, not just rights. If a child wants to watch a cartoon, he must not only show a desire, but also help his mother with something: clean the bed, go to bed on his own, or arrange toys on the shelves.
