Allergies in babies have their own characteristics. At this age, as a rule, allergic reactions occur in response to the use of any foods. This pathology manifests itself in infants most often in the form of allergic dermatitis. Its treatment is carried out taking into account the principles of stopping the entry of the allergen into the child's body, accelerating its elimination and eliminating the manifestations of this reaction.
Instructions
Step 1
Allergic dermatitis manifests itself primarily on the face, when the disease worsens, it spreads to the whole body. Find out which product is causing this reaction. Infants receive breast milk or formula milk as their main food. If your baby is breastfed, reconsider your diet. Use the principles of a hypoallergenic diet for your diet. Eliminate all colored fruits and vegetables, preservatives, smoked meats, spices, coffee and chocolate.
Step 2
If the baby is bottle-fed, change the formula. There are a number of formulas for children prone to allergic reactions. When introducing complementary foods, follow the recommendations of pediatricians. Use only those vegetables and fruits that grow in the area of residence, exclude colored (red and yellow apples, citrus fruits). When introducing meat products as complementary foods, use hypoallergenic varieties - turkey and rabbit meat. Dairy products - cottage cheese and kefir, do not buy in stores, but get in the dairy kitchen.
Step 3
After eliminating the ingress of allergens into the child's body, it is necessary to accelerate their elimination. Use sorbents that bind and neutralize foreign agents. Give your child activated charcoal, Filtrum or Enterosgel in the dosages indicated on the drug packaging.
Step 4
To accelerate the elimination of allergens and eliminate itching in case of allergic dermatitis, give your child antihistamines, preferably the second or third generation - "Cetrin", "Claritin", "Zyrtec" and "Ksizal" in the appropriate dosages. Apply the drugs once a day, the duration of treatment is at least 7 days.
Step 5
Treat the areas of the child's changed skin with antiseptic solutions locally, this will help prevent infection. Use solutions of brilliant green, fucorcin, and others. To reduce itching and moisturize the skin, use daily warm baths with decoctions of nettle, burdock root, and yarrow. Do not use a string, chamomile and celandine, decoctions of these plants dry out the skin. After the bath, apply baby cream, especially to the area of the skin folds.
