Children often have digestive problems, be it a newborn baby or a kindergarten child. As a rule, in such cases, doctors prescribe drugs containing pancreatin, for example, "Mezim" or "Festal". But if an adult child happily swallows a pill covered with a sweet shell, then things are much more problematic with the baby.
Instructions
Step 1
Give your child Mezim, if necessary, as supportive therapy. A one-time intake of the drug can occur in case of accidental errors in nutrition (overeating, indigestion, poisoning). At the same time, the drug can be prescribed for long-term use. For example, "Mezim" is prescribed for pancreatitis, which manifests itself against the background of diseases of the duodenum and biliary tract. The drug helps to quickly get rid of abdominal pain. If the result of therapy is not observed for several days of admission, the child is prescribed analgesics, which can be used together with "Mezim" and give an excellent result.
Step 2
Consult your doctor before giving your baby Mezim. The dosage of the drug is determined exclusively by the attending physician based on the results of tests and medical examination. With the correct selection of the "Mezima" dosage, the results are not long in coming. Stool disorders, as well as digestion in general, soon cease. It is likely that your child will begin to gain weight.
Step 3
To give "Mezim" to an infant, first grind the pill (usually a quarter or half) into powder using two teaspoons. Then add a small amount of water, tea or compote to a spoon with powder and give to the baby. If he still does not know how to drink from a spoon, pour the mixture with a syringe (without a needle!) Directly into his mouth. Keep in mind that, having tasted the drug in a couple of doses, the child will try to spit everything out, and sometimes a vomiting reaction appears at all. Therefore, as soon as he takes the medicine, immediately give the baby something sweetened to wash it down.
