Step 1
Start collecting information about your family. Remember and write down everything you know yourself, then start interviewing relatives. Talk to your parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Find your farthest relatives and interview them. During a conversation, be sure to use a dictaphone - it is quite difficult to record everything manually and at the same time to conduct a conversation. In addition, a more accurate transcript will be after the audio interview. Send letters asking to tell about the family to those relatives who live in other cities and countries.

Collect documents related to your family's history. These include various official certificates, personal letters and photographs. Prepare them for registration in the chronicle - scan and retouch the images. The photo studio will help you restore old badly preserved photos.

Convert all clarified information into written form. Then sort the information by putting the stories about each family member into separate folders. Then arrange the same information chronologically.

Write a complete annals text. Keep the chronology of events and gradually introduce additional lines of destinies of different members of your family, creating "crossroads" of events that took place at the same time with different people in different parts of the country and the world.

Where necessary, supplement the story of the family with facts from the story that describe the conditions of the time in question. This will help explain the actions of your family members and the unusual twists and turns of their lives.
