Often, young mothers are faced with a completely natural problem - a baby has a stuffy nose. The reason for this can be many: a slight runny nose, dust accumulated in the nasal passages, allergic rhinitis, etc. How can you help your baby?
It is necessary
- - saline
- - chamomile
- - syringe
- - olive or sunflower oil
- - Kalanchoe juice
- - Aquamaris
Instructions
Step 1
First, eliminate the likelihood of allergies. Remember what unusual food you have lately that may have caused allergic rhinitis. Perhaps this is a new toy. If even the slightest suspicion arose, remove the source of the allergy. Humidify the air throughout the apartment.
Step 2
Use saline to clear your baby's nose. Boil a liter of water and then dissolve 1 tablespoon of table or sea salt in it. Drop this solution every 60 minutes at the rate of 1 pipette per dose. Do not forget to turn the baby onto a side or stomach after instillation so that he does not suffocate.
Step 3
Make an herbal infusion. Use chamomile, for example. Make the infusion at the rate: one tablespoon of dry herb in a glass of water. Boil the solution for 5-10 minutes and leave to infuse for 30 minutes. Place 3-4 drops in each pass.
Step 4
Take a clean # 1 syringe with a latex or rubber tip, the main thing is that the tip of the syringe should be flexible and thin. Squeeze out all the air and suck the accumulated mucus from each nostril in turn. Be sure to flush the syringe between uses. Next, treat the sinuses with boiled olive or sunflower oil to prevent the mucous membrane from drying out.
Step 5
Put a few drops of breast milk into your baby's nasal passages. Use an aspirator (suction pump). After that, you need to clean the baby's nose with a cotton swab or cotton wool tightly twisted into a flagellum.
Step 6
Make a weak solution of Kalanchoe juice - a few drops per 2 tablespoons of water. Drop the resulting solution into each nasal passage 2-3 drops. This mixture will induce a sneezing reflex, making it easier to suck up mucus.
Step 7
Use Dolphin or Aquamaris nasal wash solutions.
