Despite a variety of button-up blouses, bodysuits, and overalls for babies from birth on sale, many parents continue to use a classic piece of clothing for a newborn - a vest. The undershirt is especially convenient for swaddling. The main thing is to put it on correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
Put a clean diaper on your baby. Place the undershirt on a table covered with oilcloth and diapers, with its back facing down. Open the shelves to the sides and lay the baby on the undershirt. Take the child's right arm and carefully thread it into the sleeve. After that, holding the baby under the head and shoulders, lift him up and put the back of the undershirt behind the back. Thread the second handle up the sleeve.
Step 2
The second way: put the baby on the diaper, pass the handle through the sleeve, turn the baby on its side towards the "dressed" handle, stick out the undershirt, wrap the back. After that, return the baby to the supine position again and thread the second handle into the sleeve.
Step 3
Smell the undershirt on the newborn's tummy so that the longer shelf is short on top. This will close the baby's belly. Now you can swaddle the baby's legs and put on a warm blouse.
Step 4
Try to dress your baby quickly and confidently - children do not like unnecessary fiddling and trembling hands. Over time, you will be able to do this deftly. Talk to your child lovingly while dressing if he is about to cry.
Step 5
Pay attention to the Moro reflex, which is common in newborns and infants up to 4-5 months. Your baby will sharply throw the arms out to the sides if you disturb him unnecessarily or turn him over too quickly. Try with your hands to always give him a sense of support.
Step 6
Remember to wash your undershirt with soap powder or baby detergent from birth before using it for the first time. Iron it on both sides with a hot iron.
Step 7
Choose undershirts in light colors. The most practical option is white undershirts. They are resistant to washing at high temperatures. In addition, dirt and staleness are better visible on white, and excessive hygiene in caring for a newborn will not harm.
