Instructions

Step 1

To find out the size, you need to measure your foot. Take a meter tape or ruler and measure your baby's foot from the beginning of the big toe to the heel. See the table for the resulting value:

10, 5 cm - 17 size

11, 0 cm - 18 size

11.5 cm - 19 size

and so on every 5 millimeters plus one size.

Usually, for children from 6-9 months, it will be 17 size at the time, from 9 to 12 - size 18-19 will do, 12-18 months - size 20-21. This sizing system is only suitable for footwear from Russian manufacturers.

According to the European system of sizes, the result obtained (in centimeters) is multiplied by 1, 5. So a leg length of 17 cm corresponds to 17 * 1, 5 = 25, 5 sizes.

Step 2

To choose shoes for your child, not only according to the length of the foot, but also in width, take a white sheet of paper and a bright pencil. Put the child on paper and carefully trace his leg, it is advisable to hold the pencil strictly vertically, otherwise the data may not be correct. Arriving at the store, take the insoles of the model you like and attach to the piece of paper where the child's foot is circled. Keep in mind that if the insoles of the shoes are the same size as your pattern, the child's shoes will be back to back, so take a larger size better.

Step 3

If your baby is fidgety, and you cannot measure his leg in any way, another method will do. Take a blank sheet of paper, draw a straight line under the ruler and ask your baby to stand on it. Quickly take notes of the heel and thumb, then measure the distance with a ruler and look at the size chart.

Step 4

In almost all people, the left and right feet are different, that is, one may be slightly larger than the other. Therefore, it is better to measure both legs, and select the size according to the larger one. Measurements of legs are better carried out in the late afternoon. This is due to the fact that during the day the leg is trampled, blood rushes to it, and it becomes a little larger than, say, in the morning. When choosing a size, pay attention to which toe the child will wear the shoes with. If it is winter, the sock will probably be thick enough, so it is better to measure the length of the foot in the sock.
