Examine the label on the product, and ask the seller - what age it is designed for. Usually, the manufacturer indicates the height on the label of children's clothing. This is the easiest way to choose clothes for a child and is used by most parents. However, measurements should be carried out exclusively on the figure, in order to take more accurate measurements. At the same time, the child should stand upright in order to maintain a natural posture. First, measure the child's height by placing him against the wall and placing a horizontal fence at the top of his head. Then make a pencil mark on the height meter. In the case when the child has not yet learned to stand, the measurement can be taken while lying down. When measuring height in this position, spin the tape or tape measure all the way.

This is followed by a measurement of the girth of the chest. It is measured horizontally in relation to the baby's torso. Apply a measuring tape to all protruding points of the chest and shoulder blades. Do not tighten the tape too tight. After that, you need to measure the waist and hips in the same way. Don't forget about the sleeves. Sleeve length is measured in a fairly simple way: determine the distance from the humerus to the proximal phalanx of the thumb. The sleeve length is measured exclusively on the outer surface of the arm in a bent position.

After taking all measurements, to correctly determine the size of children's clothing, use the special tables that have been developed taking into account all the age and physical characteristics of children of different genders. When choosing clothes for a child in a store, be guided by the previously obtained fitting results.
