Instructions
Step 1
Open the top of the dress (bodice). To do this, take a sleeveless baby T-shirt by size. We will sketch from it the shape of the front and back of the bodice. Determine the length of the bodice - the waistline. To do this, put a T-shirt on the child, tie it with a belt. Make small serifs along the waistline of the T-shirt. This will be the length of the bodice.
Step 2
Start transferring the outline of the T-shirt onto the paper. Fold the shirt in half lengthwise. Pin it to graph paper or tracing paper. Circle the front (shelf). It will consist of two symmetrical halves. In the same way, transfer the lines of the back to the paper. You will also get two halves.
Step 3
Transfer the pattern to the fabric. Cut the front of the bodice into a solid one. The back will consist of two halves, since a zipper will need to be sewn into the middle so that it is convenient to put on the dress. Add 1 cm at the side seams, 3 cm at the bottom. Sweep the side seams of the front and back halves. Back to the middle of the incision. Take a 10 cm zipper. Baste it to the back.
Step 4
Try on the bodice for your child. Seams upward so you can adjust the fit. Sew the seams. Sew the neckline and sleeves with a bias tape. Sew everything. The top is ready.
Step 5
For the bottom, use a base fabric and a lighter, sheer fabric in the same shade to create a two-layer skirt. Calculate the width of each piece for the lower skirt by multiplying the width of the bodice by 4. For the lower skirt by 5. The wider the skirt, the more magnificent the dress will be. Sew along the sides of the inner skirt. The result is a "pipe". Gather around the waist so that its circumference is equal to the circumference of the bodice. Do the same with the outer skirt.
Step 6
Sew two skirts together along the waist. You should get one two-layer. Stitch them to the bodice with a seam inward. Overlock or zigzag the side seams and hem of the skirts.
Step 7
Decorate the dress at the waist with a satin ribbon. So you can remove the extra width in the folds at the waist. Decorate the neckline of the dress with beads and rhinestones.
