You are young, ambitious, determined. The whole world is open before you. And so I want to take a worthy place in this world. Dreams inspire you, you have specific goals. And often these goals are quite pragmatic in nature: increase in wages, promotion, authority among colleagues and their recognition. It would seem that the management will definitely notice you. But what if time passes, and it never happened? And then everyone faces a moral choice: to hope for the best and continue to work hard, or to ignore the opinions of others and go ahead to their goal.
Why is it dangerous
First of all, by neglecting the opinions of others, you jeopardize their good attitude towards yourself. Having achieved the desired goal, literally walking over the heads, you risk being left in the social desert. They may smile in your face, but henceforth you will become a stranger at corporate events. You will be the last to learn all the news from the team.

The picture is not very pleasant. But it can be survived. In the end, there is always a close person ready to listen to you. However, you can make a lot of enemies along the way. Often these enemies do not just cause inconvenience, but create real problems and even dangers.
As a pragmatist, you must be mindful of the valuable help of your colleagues. Sooner or later you will need advice or just the opinion of those people whom you "bypassed" in achieving your goal.
We must not forget about the moral side of the issue. Betrayal, permissiveness, lies, intrigues, conspiracies. Is your conscience ready for such a test? Often, having achieved such a desired goal, a person is ashamed to look into the eyes of family and friends, even to himself.

Everyone decides the question of methods in achieving the goal for himself. Take a look at the situation in your mind's eye. Is the goal set so desirable? Is it possible to achieve it without resorting to dubious methods? Of course, you can't please everyone and someone will always be unhappy. The main thing is that you yourself are not left among the dissatisfied. Consult with family and friends. Get the support of a few colleagues. It is doubly useful if these people enjoy indisputable authority and respect. And forward - to great achievements!
