Instructions
Step 1
For a child, taking fish oil is a real test, therefore, it is necessary to start introducing the baby to this product from a very early age. After the first year of life, children, as a rule, already begin to understand tastes and, having tried fish oil for the first time at this age, the child will most likely spit it out.
Step 2
Give your baby this specific product during feeding, preferably in the middle of the feeding process. In this case, the baby will not need to drink fish oil on an empty stomach, and there will be an opportunity to seize it with delicious food, which will significantly brighten up this unpleasant procedure. If your child is older, include fish such as salmon, lake trout, herring, tuna, or mackerel in their diet.
Step 3
You can persuade your child to take fish oil by inviting him to treat you with this product. Perhaps the baby will be interested in the process and want to try it himself.
Step 4
Children 1 month of age are recommended to give 3-5 drops of fish oil, gradually increasing the dose to 0.5-1 teaspoon per day. After 1 year of life, babies are recommended to give 1 teaspoon of fish oil per day. Starting from 2 years old - 2 teaspoons, from 3 years old - 1 dessert spoon per day. Children over 7 years old can be given an adult dosage of fish oil, that is, 1 tablespoon 2-3 times a day. The course of taking this product is 2-3 months with a break of one month.
Step 5
Older children who already know how to swallow tablets can be given fish oil in capsules, which must be taken with or after meals with a little water. The drugs should be stored in the refrigerator. And before use, carefully study the instructions.
Step 6
Before giving fish oil to a child, be sure to consult a pediatrician. Fish oil, like many medicines, has a number of contraindications.
