From April 1 of each year, all Russian regions traditionally begin to enroll children in the first grades of educational institutions. Children who are already six years and six months old can enroll in schools. There are rules for admitting all children who are eligible to receive an education of the appropriate level, enshrined in the school charter.

Necessary

Application for admission, birth certificate of the child, medical report on the absence of contraindications for attending this school, document (identity of the parent)

Instructions

Step 1

This year in Russia admission to the first grade is carried out without any entrance tests. Refusal can only be due to the lack of free places in the school. In this case, parents should contact the municipal authorities (in Moscow, these are the district education authorities) or the Department of Education of the same city of Moscow, to select the necessary educational institution for the child.

Step 2

Also, when choosing a school and enrolling a child in the first grade, it is recommended to find out who will be the first teacher for him. It is important to pay attention to the conditions of education in a given school, the presence of circles or sections at the school, the participation of parents in the life of the school. You should also listen to the opinions of graduates or students of the school.

Step 3

Before the start of the school year, admission to the first grade is formalized by order of the head of a general education institution and only after that is it brought to the attention of the parents (mainly the legal representatives of the child). The order itself for the enrollment of the child in the first grade must be signed no later than August 30 by the director of the school.

Step 4

According to the law of the Russian Federation, all first-graders who went to schools this year will be trained according to new standards. In addition to the requirements for teaching subject results, for the results of upbringing and important interdisciplinary knowledge that schoolchildren will already have to acquire, the educational standard of elementary school imposes serious control and requirements on learning conditions (the presence of modern technology in computer classes, the use of electronic educational resources, the availability of improved gyms, as well as insulated toilets, etc.).

Step 5

The school may require “voluntary” contributions from parents (purchase of equipment, renovation of classroom furniture, purchase of new modern textbooks or teaching aids). Although the Ministry of Education and Science notes that all the necessary expenses for textbooks, equipment, economic needs are carried out from the budgetary funds of the constituent entities of Russia.
