Personal clothing as a way to express yourself

If in a particular educational institution a decision is made to introduce a school uniform, some individuals perceive this decision as a kind of dictate. That is, a student who is obliged to wear a uniform is restricted in his rights. As a result, his pride and mental state suffer, and depersonalization often occurs. Some supporters of the school uniform are of the opinion that uniform clothing contributes to a more serious attitude of the child towards learning. But this statement is incorrect, since there is no direct evidence for this.

Psychologists say that a teenager who is forced to wear a type of clothing that he does not like is very often under stress.

Another disadvantage of wearing a school uniform is that it is not affordable for every family, especially considering how quickly the uniform wears out. In addition, the style for each student is the same, which is also unpleasant, since everyone has a different figure and complexion. Also, monotony in clothes depresses children, suppressing their mood.

Is there any benefit in wearing a school uniform?

Undoubtedly, there is a benefit in the introduction of a school uniform. One has only to look at preschoolers who are looking forward to an important moment in their lives - to finally put on a school uniform and go to grade 1. The shape helps the child to adapt to school faster. It removes social barriers, children from poor families do not feel discomfort and become more self-confident. First graders stop being distracted by looking at each other's bright clothes, children look neat and aesthetically pleasing.

The school uniform promotes disciplinary behavior and helps to develop a sense of cohesion and teamwork.

Another point that stands on the side of the school uniform is that the parents of the student do not need to think every day what he will wear to school tomorrow.

Heated discussions about wearing a uniform take place all the time: someone believes that childhood is being taken away from children, forcing them to wear suits, someone reports that wearing a uniform instills a habit of wearing business clothes in the future. Nevertheless, according to social surveys, there were more supporters of the return of school uniforms.

Some schools, which have not yet decided to introduce a uniform school uniform, oblige children to attend classes in business attire. Students are prohibited from wearing jeans, T-shirts, tops, jewelry and other items. The norm for boys is considered to be trousers, a shirt, tie, shoes and a jacket, and for girls - a skirt or trousers, a blouse or shirt, etc.
