The electric steamer is a versatile kitchen helper. In it, you can quickly and tasty prepare a healthy lunch, dinner and even breakfast. For example, boil eggs - in a bag, hard-boiled or soft-boiled.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare for the fact that the first time a perfectly cooked egg may not work. The cooking time depends on the size of the egg, the amount of water poured into the appliance, and the model of the steamer. However, having tested the device two or three times, you will find the optimal mode for yourself. The advantages of steaming eggs are obvious - after boiling, they are easy to clean, their shell does not burst, and a bluish film does not form around the yolk.
Step 2
Examine your steamer. Some models have bowls with special cavities for eggs. If you find similar ones on your device, read the instructions - it will indicate the cooking time that is optimal for a particular model. When pouring water into the appliance, also follow the instructions.
Step 3
There are steamers without indentations. You can cook eggs in them too. Place them directly in the bowl. Do not place them in the water container located at the bottom of the appliance.
Step 4
Wash the eggs, removing any dirt, wipe them with a towel and place them in a bowl or special indentations. If you want to hard boil the egg, set the timer for 15 minutes. To get an egg in a bag, cook it for 10-12 minutes, and it will cook soft-boiled in 7 minutes. Hard-boiled quail eggs are boiled the same amount. Very small eggs will cook faster, especially large ones will take a little longer to cook.
Step 5
Does your toddler like soft-boiled eggs, do you prefer hard-boiled eggs? Set the timer for 7 minutes, at its signal, take out the soft-boiled egg, and leave the rest to cook, setting another 5-7 minutes. Other breakfast items such as scrambled eggs or chopped vegetables can be cooked along with the eggs. Load them on the second floor of the steamer.
Step 6
Remove soft-boiled eggs from the bowl immediately after cooking to prevent overcooking. Those that are hard-boiled can be left to cool directly in a double boiler, without transferring to cold water. In steamed eggs, the shells peel off easily without sticking to the boiled egg white.
