As soon as a woman becomes pregnant, hormonal changes begin in the body. Signs of a new situation can appear from the very first weeks of conception, even before the delay in menstruation. Therefore, you can recognize a pregnancy on your own, before visiting a doctor. You just need to look closely and listen to your body and answer yourself to a few simple questions.
It is necessary
- - pregnancy test
- - mirror
- - mercury thermometer
- - calendar of your menstrual cycle
Instructions
Step 1
Take a calendar and count how many days have passed since the first day of your last period. If you have a delay in your regular cycle (24 - 28 days), this is the first plus in favor of a possible pregnancy. Remember that sometimes after conception, after a while for one or two days, there may be vaginal spotting, the harbingers of normal menstruation. But menstruation never comes.
Step 2
Strip to the waist and stand in front of a mirror. Examine your chest carefully. In the early stages of pregnancy, the halos around the nipples often darken in women, and the breasts become heavy and painful.
Step 3
Think back to if you have recently experienced severe sleepiness, tiredness, irritability, or nausea. All these are indirect signs of pregnancy. However, the presence of these symptoms does not mean that you are in an interesting position. But as additional factors to the delay of menstruation, they can signal that a fetus is developing inside you.
Step 4
Measure basal temperature if your period is delayed for several days. To do this, take a mercury thermometer and every morning at the same time, immediately after waking up, without getting out of bed and without making sudden movements, measure the temperature in the rectum. Write down the indicators. If the temperature stays above 37 degrees, this is another sign of a possible pregnancy.
Step 5
Buy a pregnancy test and use it if your period is missed. Remember that even a weak second strip on the test speaks in favor of the onset of pregnancy.
Step 6
Get a urine or blood test for hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) at a laboratory or medical center. This test will cost many times more than a home pregnancy test. But laboratory analysis reveals hCG by the end of the first week after conception
