The nipples and baby bottles from which mothers feed their newborn babies need to be sterilized. The intestinal microflora in newborns is still in the process of formation, therefore, this method of processing the nipples and bottles protects children from pathogenic microbes that actively multiply in dairy environments.
It is necessary
- - nipples;
- - water;
- - saucepan or ladle (enameled / aluminum).
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase special dishes from the store (an enamel or aluminum saucepan or ladle). You will need it to boil water when sterilizing the nipple.
Step 2
After you finish feeding your baby with a baby bottle, wash the teat and bottle with a special detergent designed for washing baby dishes (as a last resort, just rinse with water). Rinse thoroughly under running clean water.
Step 3
Pour enough water into the saucepan so that when you place the bottle in it, the water is completely inside it. Place a saucepan of water on a gas stove until it boils.
Step 4
Soak the bottle and teat in boiling water for about 10 to 15 minutes. The exact time for sterilizing baby dishes will depend on the type of nipple and bottle, the material they are made of and the degree of contamination. Therefore, the sterilization time for each dish is individual, and you can only find out with practice. If there is a fear that you may be distracted from the procedure, the water will boil away and the bottle will melt in a saucepan, then put a piece of gauze rolled into several layers in the bottle. In this case, the gauze can absorb the melted mixture of the bottle and nipple, and there will be less further work to clean the saucepan.
Step 5
Using tongs, remove the bottle and teat from the saucepan and place them upside down on a sterile napkin.
Step 6
Clean and dry soothers can be stored in a special transparent container.
