A person, even in good health, can become infected and get sick, especially during the cold season, when the number of virus carriers increases sharply. It would seem that it’s okay: it’s unpleasant, of course, but everyone is sick, you just need to undergo medical treatment, and after a while everything will be all right. But here's the problem: there is a small child in the house and everything possible must be done so that he does not get infected.
Instructions
Step 1
If living conditions permit, the sick person should be isolated from the child. Ideally, if he will be in his room until he recovers, without contact with the baby. Unfortunately, in most cases this is simply unrealistic, especially if the child's mother is sick. Therefore, take it as a strict rule: a sick family member must wear a medical mask before entering the room with a child.
Step 2
Be sure to sterilize all utensils your child uses. His bedding and underwear, as well as clothes, regularly wash and iron.
Step 3
Wet clean the room where your baby is on a daily basis. Ventilate the room regularly (for example, when walking).
Step 4
If the baby is breastfed, he receives antibodies in breast milk that protect him from infection. Of course, this does not give a 100% guarantee, therefore, as a means of prevention, you can instill a few drops of breast milk into his nose. This will additionally protect his nasopharynx, because infection in most cases occurs by airborne droplets through the respiratory system.
Step 5
A good and effective way to protect your baby is to place containers with chopped garlic and onion cloves near the baby's bed. Of course, the smell will be quite strong and unpleasant, but you will have to endure, because phytoncides, which are very rich in onions and garlic, have a detrimental effect on pathogens. Do not forget to change the contents of the containers only once every 5-6 hours, since the concentration of phytoncides in the air is rapidly decreasing.
Step 6
In consultation with your doctor, you can use other preventive measures. For example, lubricate the child's nose with oxolinic ointment or instill interferon.
Step 7
When taking your baby for a walk, dress him according to the weather. Try not to overcool, but also not to wrap up too warmly. Both are harmful to his health.
Step 8
Try to minimize all outside contacts, visits. After all, any visitor during a flu or SARS epidemic is a potential threat to your baby. In any case, even if it is your close relative or good friend, ask him to wear a medical mask. A well-mannered person will understand everything correctly and will not be offended.
