Children's Day is celebrated annually in Russia on the first of June. Despite the long history, parents are still lost in making plans for this holiday.

Step 1
Congratulate your child. A holiday without a gift for children of any age seems fake. Allow your child this day to ask you for a gift that he has long dreamed of receiving. Depending on your material capabilities, you can limit the child's choice. For example, you know that your son has long wanted a bicycle and dreamed of a new robot. You can leave the purchase of a bicycle for your birthday, and congratulate the robot on Children's Day.
Step 2
Spend the day the way your child wants. Surely a plan for a perfect day has long matured in his head. If not, develop it together, with the whole family. It is important that each family member does their part in the celebration. Go all together to bowling, water park or summer cottage to play badminton and sunbathe in the sun.
Step 3
Attend city-planned celebrations. If you do not have the opportunity to escape somewhere far away from the bustle of the city and everyday worries, do not despair. An exciting walk around the city will delight your child no less. Walk to the city park, be sure to buy ice cream and lemonade on the way, or stop by a pizzeria. Take part in competitions and watch a festive concert. Then proceed to the main square and to other places where festive events are scheduled on this day. A few hours together with a child on a warm sunny day is a good alternative to boring everyday life, when there is not even half an hour left to communicate with him.
Step 4
Go to large shopping malls. Most of them are likely to plan several events to mark Children's Day. Life-size puppets, contests with prizes, performances, photo sessions, funny make-up - this is what awaits children of all ages.
Step 5
Throw a masquerade ball for your child and his friends. Let him make a list of invitees on his own, warn the parents of all the young guests about the upcoming holiday - perhaps someone will want to join and help in the preparation. You can ask a certain theme or let the children show all their imagination in costumes. The buffet table will be enough, but the entertainment will have to work. Come up with several contests, fun and not boring activities. Twister, dancing, reading poetry from memory, guessing words by actions and other activities will delight the children for a couple of hours. The rest of the time should be given at their complete disposal.
