For children, the onset of the long-awaited vacation causes only positive emotions, but parents may be slightly puzzled by how to organize the child's life during the summer vacation.
It is great if there is an opportunity to relax with your child all summer or leave him in the care of caring grandparents. It's great if you managed to buy a ticket to a summer camp, where the child will usefully spend time under the supervision of adults. But if a student is left alone at home while his parents are at work, he has to think about how to organize his independent "vacation" life.
Leisure
You can have a good time on vacation not only in a country camp. Ask which kids' clubs exist near your home. Surely, some interesting events are planned in them during the summer holidays, and your child will be happy to take part in them. If there is no one to accompany him, try to talk to the parents of his classmates: perhaps one of them will not mind if a friend of their beloved child will keep him company.
Many schools organize summer camps at their own base. Perhaps this will be a good solution: teachers and children familiar to the child, familiar surroundings, interesting leisure time and food. As a rule, the cost of such summer "playgrounds" is relatively low.
Household duties
Rest is rest, but make sure that your child maintains at least minimal order in his room, and does not forget about other chores around the house. It doesn’t matter if he will sit at the computer all day: try to spend time outdoors at least in the evenings and on weekends.
Food
If you are thinking about which is better: leaving your teenager money for food or a pre-cooked lunch, stop at the second option. Otherwise, your child's diet runs the risk of turning into a very unhealthy mixture of chips, crackers, sweet soda and chocolate. It will not be difficult for a teenager to warm up food in the microwave; for a younger student, a thermos will be the way out - so you can at least partially control what the child eats in your absence.
Health
Carry out the prevention of colds: it is very annoying to get sick during the holidays. Flush the nasal passage with a seawater spray, give vitamins for the appropriate age group.
Remind your child to practice good personal hygiene. You need to brush your teeth, wash your face and wash your hands after returning from a walk even on vacation!
