There are special games and exercises for the development of speech. "Describe the toy" is one of the simplest games for forming coherent speech. Ask your child to describe a specific toy. "Guess who?" - interpretation of the description exercise. The toy is hiding and according to the description of the leader, the child must guess what kind of thing it is about. For example, mom hides a bear and starts describing it. It is a large animal, sleeps all winter and loves honey.
Spot the Difference is an exercise that develops speech and attention. Ask your child to share how the two toys differ from each other. For example, take two balls. Differences: different size, color, additional pictures and so on. For older children, special pictures are suitable, on which you need to find a certain number of differences.
Also, children are well helped to develop speech activity and expand vocabulary "working with a fairy tale." Read the story first, and then ask the child to retell what he heard. Over time, move on to short stories with a simple plot.
Children very willingly retell the plots of cartoons, puppet shows and circus performances. Teach a 5-6 year old child to compose a story from a picture or to invent a magical story on his own.
