The ability to speak competently, correctly and logically formulate sentences is an important indicator of the general development of a child. This skill is not born, it is completely acquired. Therefore, it is so important that from early childhood, parents form and develop competent speech in their baby.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, the skills of speech culture depend on how adults talk around: parents, relatives, kindergarten teachers. Younger children are very receptive and copy, in general, only phonetics. Therefore, it is better not to lisp with the baby, but to talk normally, pronouncing the letters clearly and clearly, correctly putting emphasis.

Step 2

Do not allow your child to shorten and distort words, calmly ask them to pronounce them correctly again, referring to your misunderstanding. Do this taking into account the age and physical characteristics of the child, being careful not to offend him, and praise for every difficult word pronounced correctly.

Step 3

As your child grows up, start paying attention to how he or she constructs phrases. Teach him to briefly and clearly explain what he wants. Analyze with him every incorrectly worded phrase, correct him every time he speaks incorrectly or slurred his thoughts.

Step 4

Teach him to put together long pieces of narration from short sentences, logically connected with each other. Develop his attentiveness and memory so that he learns to remember what he wanted to say before he began to say something, track his thought in conversation.

Step 5

Read books with him and ask him to retell parts of them in his own words, but close to the text. Pay his attention to what language the heroes of literary works speak, how the manner of speaking characterizes this or that character.

Step 6

For the development of competent speech in a child, you can ask him exercises that will help him with this. For example, ask him to make phrases with the given words, and then complicate the task - let him use these phrases and compose a coherent story with them. Complicate the task and try, using the same phrases, to compose several texts in different genres - a fairy tale or a story.
