Writing is the most important skill of a person, and his handwriting and his posture depend on how correctly a person holds a pen. Of course, at school, all children will learn to hold a pencil in their hand, but parents should worry about this sooner.
Instructions
Step 1
Develop your baby's fingers. Let the kid pinch off the plasticine, roll it between the fingers and sculpt it on the board. Play Cinderella - mix the colored cereals and ask your child to sort them into different cups. It is important to teach him how to strain and relax his fingers; for this, a variety of finger games such as the "castle" game are useful.
Step 2
Teach your child to hold the pencil correctly. Start by placing your pencil between your index finger and thumb. Place it on the child's middle finger so that the pencil is balanced on it, even if it has no other support. In doing so, he should rest on the knuckle between the upper and middle phalanges of the finger.
Step 3
Place your child's thumb on top of the pencil. The pressure it creates fixes the pencil, preventing it from moving. After that, place his index finger on the pencil - it should sit between the middle and thumb. The index finger guides the pencil, makes it move in the desired direction.
Step 4
Have your child place the tip of the pencil on the paper and draw several straight, wavy, and zigzag lines. If you feel uncomfortable, try moving the pencil in your hand to make the writing tip shorter, and then draw a few lines again.
Step 5
Start the exercise with a large pencil or thick crayon. Firstly, it is easier for the child to hold it correctly, and secondly, you will better see how the fingers are located on the pencil. Once you've found the correct position, mark it directly on the pencil. You can also buy triangular pencils in stores, specially designed to teach your toddler how to grip correctly.
Step 6
Make your child fun to learn. Prepare for him an interesting coloring book with his favorite characters or a colorful exercise book for practice.
