The older children get, the more they express their feelings and emotions through creativity (drawing and modeling). If we compare the work of a one-year-old toddler and a three-year-old child, then tremendous progress will be seen: incomprehensible scribbles and indistinct strokes turn into a drawing of a person or a simple plot with butterflies, the sun, etc. But first of all, creativity for children is a game.
Draw with a child
Paper, felt-tip pens, pencils and paints should always be kept together and in plain sight, at children's eye level. Of course, children are not always ready to respond to the phrase "let's draw", because inspiration is an elusive thing. Remember: the baby should not follow your initiative, but you should follow his intentions. This is a very important principle of children's development, which all teachers and psychologists pay attention to.
To attract a child to drawing, you can pick up paper and paints yourself, since children at a young age love to copy everything and everyone. So, you need to try to do what they copy for the benefit of their development. You need to start drawing with coarse wax crayons, felt-tip pens, pencils and thick soft brushes. You don't have to offer a lot of colors at once, so that the children are not lost from the abundance of colors. Show how the colors mix and what comes out of it. You can play the game "Rainbow". To do this, you need seven transparent cups, in which the baby must dilute all the colors of the rainbow.
Molding
A good material for sculpting at an early age is store-bought special mass or salted dough, which is easy to make with your own hands. Unlike plasticine, these materials are soft and elastic. You need to start modeling with something simple: balls, snakes, geometric figures.
An important point is safety
You should not buy cheap paints and materials, because they can be toxic and only harm a young child's body. If in doubt, you can ask the sellers for product quality certificates. It is better to buy things for children in special stores, and not at the market or kiosk.
We arrange exhibitions
Make home galleries of the little artist or sculptor's work from time to time. To do this, you can take a simple board, use a refrigerator or a bookshelf to paste children's work. Everything that children do with their own hands should be visible. Of course, they are not yet familiar with the concept of "fame", but they also need a sense of recognition. This is how the child's personality is formulated.
