Condoms are a popular barrier method of contraception. Their affordability, ease of use and a wide range of products make these products the leader in the field of contraception.
How to choose a condom
Condom manufacturers offer a wide variety of these products. As a rule, the most common condom has the words "Standard" or "Classic" on the packaging. Some firms produce oversized products marked XXL. The assortment also includes condoms with especially thin walls or anatomically shaped - to enhance the natural sensations. For additional protection, condoms are used with spermicidal lubricant, which is good at preventing pregnancy, even if the product is torn. Extra strong condoms with abundant lubrication are used for anal sex. There are also products with pimples, ribs and embossed stripes for additional stimulation. Colored and flavored condoms bring extra sensations. And some products even glow in the dark.
The first condoms were used before our era. The condom of Pharaoh Ramses I is kept in the Cairo Museum.
How to use a condom
The product must be put on before intercourse, as even before ejaculation, a certain amount of sperm can be released from the penis. First, the tip of the condom - the sperm successor - is squeezed with two fingers to expel air. The rolled-up condom is positioned on the head of the erect penis and unfolded towards the base. The condom must remain on the penis throughout the entire intercourse. A good product is hardly felt. After ejaculation, the penis is gently removed, holding the condom at the base.
Although they are very durable, condoms can be easily torn with a sharp piece of jewelry or a long fingernail.
note
Do not use condoms with fat-based lubricants. Any fat destroys the latex from which most condoms are made. Also, you cannot put on two condoms at once for the purpose of greater protection - this will cause friction between the two products, which will lead to the opposite effect. During a long intercourse, several condoms may be needed - if the product has completely lost its lubrication or began to rub, it needs to be replaced. Some people may be allergic to latex. It manifests itself in redness of the genitals, itching and burning, sometimes dermatitis or urticaria appears. In this case, you need to find alternative methods of protection.
