As a rule, at the birth of a child, each mother is worried whether her baby is eating enough, whether it is growing well, whether it is gaining enough weight. But it happens that after a while, as the baby grows up, completely opposite problems arise in front of her.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure, first of all, whether your child needs to lose weight. Unfortunately, now very many pediatricians trust the average tables of child development so much that they often frighten mothers with obesity almost from the first month of birth.

If your child (and even breastfed) gained not 2 kilograms according to the tables, but 3 in two or three months, this is not yet a reason for panic. Especially if the increase in weight is proportional to the increased growth. After all, the main criterion for determining a healthy child is harmonious development. It is very likely that in the next months (especially with an increase in physical activity), the baby's weight will even out and approach the norm. Also, remember that babies gain more weight in winter than in summer. In any case, consult at least one or two more good specialists before taking any action.

Step 2

Review your diet (if the baby is still breastfed) and the baby's diet. Eliminate fatty, sweet, starchy foods. This does not mean that you need to exclude cheese, sour cream and other foods necessary in the diet. But it is better to choose dietary meat: poultry, first of all - turkey, rabbit, lean beef. It is better to cook soups not in meat, but in mushroom broth.

Cheese can be taken not 29% fat, but 17%. And fatty, homemade sour cream, alas, is still unacceptable. It is best to take sour cream 10-15% fat. From flour, you can leave products made from coarse flour, bran, bread (with the shortest heat treatment period). Lavash, contrary to popular belief, is not dietary in any way.

Milk porridge should be cooked not in pure milk, but diluting it by half with water.

Try to include more vegetables in your child's diet. They help improve digestion.

Make sure that 2-3 hours before bedtime, the child only ate easily digestible, low-calorie foods. Before bed, you can give a glass of low-fat milk or homemade yogurt made from it.

Step 3

Pay special attention to your child's physical activity. It is the correct regime that is the key means in achieving harmonious development. Enter mandatory morning exercises. For school-age children, a morning run will be very useful. Enter as many outdoor fun games as possible. If possible, enroll your child in the sports section.

If your child is still too young, walk more outdoors with him. If the baby is already holding his head, you can already play outdoor games with him: roll on the sofa in both directions, "drive" him on a flat surface so that his feet barely touch the "floor", play an airplane, and so on: for every age you can find useful active play that will help you develop skills and at the same time will be an excellent prevention of excessive weight gain in your child.
