Step 1
Obtaining a birth certificate is very symbolic, it officially records the data on the baby, his last name, patronymic and first name. This document will be the main one, until the receipt of a passport, which is issued at the age of 14.
Step 2
You will be able to issue a birth certificate at the registry office at the place of residence or at the place of birth of the baby. In the case when a child is born abroad, registration is possible at the consular offices of the Russian Federation.

You will be given a certificate on the day you apply, subject to the submission of the required list of documents. You need to fill out a standard form, pay a state fee of 200 rubles. After that, show the registry office employees the marriage certificate, copies of the passport of your own and the child's father, a certificate issued at the hospital upon discharge, as well as a written application asking for a certificate.

If you are in an officially registered marriage with the child's father, the presence of one of the spouses is sufficient, otherwise you will have to apply together. Each of the parents must fill out a separate form and provide their personal information. Verbal agreement on the recognition of the child as a father is also important.

If the child was born in marriage, but his father is another person, the mother should be informed about this when filling out the birth certificate. Otherwise, the official husband will be recorded as the father of the baby. Sometimes it is required to obtain formal proof of paternity. In this case, you need a court decision to establish this fact, which should be presented to the registry office employees.
Step 6
If the child's parents cannot obtain a birth certificate for various reasons, you can issue a power of attorney for another person, authorizing him to do such actions. Such a document is subject to notarization.
Step 7
In accordance with the legislation, you must be given a certificate of form No. 24, which will allow you to draw up the necessary list of benefits in the future.

A birth certificate must be obtained within one month from the date of birth of the child, if the medical certificate is lost, you can get a duplicate. During the first year of a baby's life, a court can issue a birth certificate.

If the birth did not take place in a medical facility, you will have to confirm that the baby was born. You can bring a person who will confirm the fact of childbirth. Sometimes the registry office requires additional evidence. Sometimes, the fact of birth has to be proven in court. If the mother went to the hospital after giving birth, she will be given a medical certificate at the institution.

The document contains the surname, name, patronymic of the child, date of birth, place, information about the parents, their citizenship and, if desired, nationality. In addition, the date of issue of the certificate and the individual number are prescribed.
