Of course, there are no strict recommendations on the size of the diapers, and everyone chooses the option that is most convenient for caring for the baby. The only thing worth paying attention to is that the warmer the material, the smaller the diaper should be. Indeed, the larger the diaper, the more layers are wrapped around the baby when changing. Flannel fabric is warm in itself, and a large number of layers will tend to overheat the newborn. The largest diapers are usually made of chintz or lightweight jersey.

The smallest size of commercially available diapers is 80x95 cm. This size is not considered convenient for changing. The edges of the diaper constantly come out from any movement of the child, and the whole structure is unwound. And besides, your baby will quickly grow out of diapers of this size. However, they are the most economical in terms of price, and they can be used for other purposes: spread under the baby's head instead of a pillow or wipe the baby with them after bathing.

An interesting invention is the envelope diaper. It was created for those who have difficulties with changing, as well as for leaving the house. The edges of the diaper are fastened with Velcro in a predetermined pattern. It is very difficult for a child to get out of such an envelope, and the legs always remain closed. In addition, the width of the envelope can be adjusted with several positions of the velcro, which allows it to be used at different ages. Such a diaper is very convenient to use for sleeping: the mother can sleep peacefully, knowing that the child is in a reliable cocoon and will not open up. A significant disadvantage of such diapers is their high price, which can reach 1000 rubles.
