A baby can easily tell the truth where an adult is silent or lies for selfish purposes. The child is not spoiled by everyday problems, he is not at the mercy of stereotypes, so it is much easier for him to call things by their proper names.
The origin of the saying
There is a saying among the people that the truth is spoken through the mouth of a child. This is due to the fact that the baby's consciousness is not burdened with everyday problems and conventions, therefore, without hesitation, he speaks the truth where an adult can remain silent or lie. The word "verbs" comes from the outdated "verb", which means to speak, to narrate. There are two versions of the origin of this saying. One of them is of a biblical nature - Jesus Christ said that children with little knowledge of the Scriptures proclaimed the truth, recognizing the Lord God in their hearts. The second version says that the proverb is a translation of the Latin legend "From the mouth of babies - the truth."
The baby is the embodiment of purity and sincerity
Children have very well developed intuition, sometimes, even without learning to speak, they try to express their thoughts and emotions. It often happens that a child is drawn to strangers, trusts them, while categorically avoiding some. This happens because the baby unconsciously feels good or danger coming from a person, which is beyond the control of an adult. The crumb is not subjected to stereotypes, however, he can clearly distinguish between good and evil for himself.
The ancient Roman philosopher Cicero argued that a person can be sincere only in five cases - insane, inadvertently, being drunk, during sleep and in childhood.
Child and adult world
It often happens that adults have to blush for their children. For example, a child in public may say something incorrect or give away some family secret. To avoid such situations, you need to explain to the baby what can be said in front of strangers and what is not. It also happens that adults joyfully exclaim: "Through the lips of a baby …", sighing with relief that they did not have to tell the truth, because outsiders have no right to take offense at an innocent baby. This is a fundamentally wrong approach, because the child expresses his thoughts sincerely, which he requires from his parents.
The child intuitively feels who can be trusted and who can not. To gain confidence in him, an adult must pursue exceptionally good goals.
The other side of the coin
The truth is spoken through the lips of a child, but this does not mean that adults should always and in everything blindly trust their child. It should not be forgotten that the older the child becomes, the more people he is surrounded by every day. They can have a certain influence on him, impose their thoughts and ideas. It is important that an internal connection is established between the baby and the parents, which will become the guarantor of a trusting relationship.
