If symptoms of thrush appear in a child's mouth, you should first of all contact a pediatrician who will confirm or deny the presence of the disease and prescribe the optimal treatment. Depending on the age and condition of the child, improvement in the condition will occur in 1-3 days, and complete recovery in two weeks (if there were no complications).

It is necessary

  • -drugs;
  • - sterile cotton balls or cotton wool;
  • - medicinal plants.

Instructions

Step 1

Identify and eliminate all the factors that led to the onset of thrush in the child's mouth. With the initial forms of thrush, conduct local therapy, which usually includes irrigation of the foci with disinfectants, anti-candidiasis drugs.

Step 2

Lubricate the mouth with Nystatin in milk solution for four days. Add 1 million units of Nystatin to two milliliters of milk, or use Levorin's solution: add 100 thousand Levorin to 5 milliliters of boiled water. Apply the solution every 6 hours. You can also lubricate the mouth five times a day with 2 or 6% baking soda solution (baking soda). Treatment in this case takes 3-4 days.

Step 3

Clean the affected areas of the child's oral mucosa with a sterile cotton ball dipped in a pale pink aqueous solution of manganese-sour potassium, 0.25-1% hydrogen peroxide solution, 1-2% aqueous tannin or 0.25% aqueous borax. After each treatment, lubricate the affected areas with a 1-2% aqueous solution of aniline dyes sold in state pharmacies with their own laboratories. It could be Gentian violet; 0.25% solution of nitric acid silver; "Iodinol" diluted 1: 2 with boiled water; Lugol's solution diluted with boiled water in a ratio of 1: 3. This procedure must be repeated every 2-3 hours, but more than 5 times a day.

Step 4

The most effective method of treating thrush in the mouth of a child (of any age) is the ingestion of "Fluconazole", "Diflucan", "Diflazon", etc. once in the amount of 6 mg / kg and then 3 mg / kg once a day. Mix powder for injection with a teaspoon of milk or boiled water and give the medicine from a spoon, lubricating the affected areas of the oral mucosa at the same time. The duration of treatment with the use of "Fluconazole" is not more than 3-5 days.

Step 5

You can resort to folk remedies, but in this case it is imperative to first consult with a pediatrician. For example, you can lubricate the oral mucosa with infusion of calendula flowers for 6 days. To prepare the infusion, take one tablespoon of dried medicinal calendula flowers and pour a glass of boiling water. Leave the infusion for an hour, then strain.

Step 6

Treatment with viburnum and honey juice is quite effective. Take viburnum juice and honey in a 1: 1 ratio and put on low heat, bring the mixture to a boil 2-3 times, stirring continuously, then turn off the heat and cool at room temperature. Treatment with folk remedies is possible if the child is not allergic to the components used. If you are in doubt about this, it is better not to try in order to avoid allergic reactions.

Step 7

If a sick child is breastfeeding, the mother should process the breast before and after each feeding with a soda solution (1 teaspoon of soda per 1 cup of boiled water at room temperature). Boil every object that your baby may have in his mouth: nipples, teethers, etc.
