Often, schoolchildren are given homework - to draw up their own family tree and arrange it beautifully. And sometimes adults, without any coercion, decide to preserve the family archive of photographs and make a beautiful pedigree as a keepsake for posterity. In any case, no matter what the reasons prompted you to this time-consuming but interesting process, there are several ways in which you can decorate your home with a family tree in a frame.

Instructions

Step 1

Select photographs of your relatives to compile the pedigree. If you are not sorry for the originals, you can cut out the faces of relatives directly from the pictures. However, many people prefer to make copies on a printer, or scan a photo and print. In the process of selecting images, you will understand where exactly in your pedigree the white spots are, that is, which of the ancestors you do not know by sight, whose image has not been preserved. However, there is a reason to contact relatives and ask them if they keep a photo of their great-grandmother.

Step 2

Decide how you will represent your family tree. If you have drawing skills, you can draw a tree on a Whatman paper with your own hand. If not, there are enough templates for such trees on the Internet, as well as programs that allow you to create a pedigree on a computer and then print it out.

Step 3

When the tree is ready, start filling it with names and pictures of your kind. Below, at the crown, the data of your oldest relatives, about whom you know, should be located. The information may be incomplete, for example, without a photo or middle name, but it is advisable to write in everything you know in order to preserve the story for your descendants. The standard design looks like this: a photo in an oval (or an empty oval), under it is a rectangle with the inscription: last name, first name, patronymic of the person, dates of birth and death, if it has already occurred. Sometimes in the pedigree the occupation is written, for example: Afanasy Petrov, carpenter.
