To make breathing easier, you can do harmless procedures that relieve swelling and promote the release of mucus from the nose.

Step 1
Rinse your baby's nose with saline solution. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of sea salt in a glass of water. Inject the solution into the baby's nasal passages with an enema or syringe without a needle. During the procedure, make sure that the baby's mouth is open. The mucus should be flushed out, and breathing should be relieved. Rinsing the nose not only cleans but also kills the germs that are the culprit for the mucus. The procedure should be carried out 3-4 times a day.
Step 2
Inhalation also helps relieve congestion. Pour hot water into a deep bowl, add a little baking soda or fir oil. Let the child breathe vapors for about 10 minutes - the mucus should thin out. Then the baby needs to blow his nose. If you do inhalations three times a day, a runny nose will disappear in a few days without complications.
Step 3
Warming ointments make breathing easier due to their high content of essential oils. Spread the baby with baby ointment, pay special attention to the temporal region and the bridge of the nose. Due to the warming and local irritating effect, the nasal passages begin to clear. But remember: if your baby is allergic to something, then it is not a fact that it will not appear on the ointment with natural ingredients.
Step 4
If all these procedures do not work, and the baby has severe breathing difficulties, drip the nose with special children's vasoconstrictor drops. Strictly observe the dosage and follow the general recommendations for the drug. You cannot use drops for adults, but if a runny nose appears at night, and you do not have medications for children, then dilute any drops with boiled water in a ratio of 1 to 1. Do not forget to call the pediatrician at home or take your child to the hospital.
