Increasing flows of information require a person to quickly assimilate new knowledge, evaluate and analyze the information received. This means that a person should be able to read quickly, while understanding the text. At the same time, many factors can distract from reading, since information flows through different channels. Many modern children do not like to read and read slowly, simply because it seems unnecessary to them. But when they feel the need to read quickly, it may be too late. Therefore, parents should take care of the reading technique in advance.

Step 1
Answer yourself to the question - do you like to read? As a rule, in families where everyone reads, there are no problems with reading technique. The child learns primarily by example. So if you read a little or did not read at all, you will have to read a little, and not only with your child.
Step 2
Set aside half an hour in the daily routine to read with your child. This can be, for example, half an hour before bedtime, when all daytime tasks are done. Part of the tale is read by the parent, and some moments are given to the child to read. Increase the number of sentences he can read each time. In the future, you can switch roles. The child is reading the story, and you are listening.
Step 3
After the bedtime story becomes a habit, set aside another block of time just to read. At this time, the child will also read what is given, so half an hour after he has done the written assignments is quite suitable. The "lesson" can be constructed as follows. First, you read the sentence yourself. Maybe even a few times. Then you read the sentence with your child, and eventually ask him to read it himself. After a few of these sessions, change their structure a little. Read several sentences at once.

Organize a school play. Try to arrange for the child to take on the role of the teacher. As pupils, toys that the first grader has not yet parted with are quite suitable. You can also be a student at first.

As soon as the child learns to more or less accurately read individual phrases, try reading tongue twisters with him. The technique is the same. If the child is still reading slowly, first read the tongue twister, and then let him read it. Try to do this as quickly as possible. Take a stopwatch and arrange a competition, which of you will read the tongue twister faster. After that move on to the next one. If you read the first tongue twister first, let the child read the next one. This alternation will add a playful element to the activities and make them more interesting.

Buy new children's books only with your child. Unless, of course, this is a gift that needs to be kept secret for some time. Go to the store, invite your child to look at the books and say which one he likes and why. Offer to read the title and author's name. When you bring a new book home, invite your child to start reading it out loud, and when he gets tired, you read it. Try not to finish reading the book to the end on the first evening, stretch out the pleasure. Continue reading the next day, with the child first reading.
Step 7
If your child is seriously passionate about some kind of creativity, show him books about your favorite pastime. This is the best incentive to learn to read as quickly as possible, because you need to immediately learn how this model is built or how to embroider with a cross. In this case, books can be for adults as well.
