For almost every child, playing gives a lot of joy and pleasure. But remember that playing is not only fun. It is of great importance for mental and physical development. While playing, the child is constantly moving, talking, getting acquainted with various objects and its properties.
Instructions
Step 1
In play, the character and norms of the child's behavior are formed, i.e. attitude to things, communication skills with people around, there is an assessment of actions. Therefore, you should not be indifferent to what and how your child plays.
Step 2
A kid in the fourth year of life can quite independently find something to do and play alone for a long time. Therefore, the ability to play independently must be developed in every possible way. But doing it is better not only because these games give parents the opportunity to do their own thing, but also because it is useful.
Step 3
In independent studies and games, the baby develops initiative, he learns to overcome difficulties, show perseverance in achieving goals and many other valuable qualities. In order for the child to be able to spend time in an interesting and varied way on his own, it is worth purchasing appropriate toys for him.
Step 4
Play for a child is a serious matter, which should be treated in the same way by all family members. Do not interfere with your child playing, running or jumping around the room. It is better to think about how to satisfy the baby's need for movement without disrupting the normal life of adults.
Step 5
To do this, it is necessary to think in advance and take more seriously the organization of family life, taking into account the interests of everyone. For example, toys that require a lot of movement and space should be given outside while walking. If parents are resting after a working day or older children are engaged in homework, it is better to take the child into quiet games. For example, offer to draw, look at pictures, or tackle cubes.
Step 6
Giving the child the opportunity to play on his own, you should know that he needs to communicate with adults, their help or guidance. Parents or older children also need to show interest in the younger child's play, from time to time ask: "Well, show me what you did?", "Where are you going?" etc.
Step 7
But most importantly, it is important to support the child's desire to initiate an adult into his play. To do this, it is worth not only approving or praising him, but also asking questions that will make him complicate the game and make it not only longer, but also interesting.
Step 8
You can also maintain interest in the game by participating in the game. But all these actions need to be done, in no case imposing the content of the game on the child, but trying only to complicate it or add variety to it and make it more meaningful, developing in the baby the ability to bring what has been started to the end, to overcome small difficulties.
