A preschool institution with specialized speech therapy groups is designed to correct deviations in the speech development of children. To arrange a child in it, parents need to go through several stages.

Step 1
First of all, parents need to find out how much their child needs the help of specialists. Regular observations of the district pediatrician will make it possible to draw conclusions about the compliance of speech development with age norms. In case of rejection, he will give a referral for a speech therapist consultation.
Step 2
Examination of a child by a speech therapist is carried out both by a specialist in a children's clinic and by a teacher - a speech therapist in a kindergarten. He makes his conclusion about the degree of deviation and its reasons. If the deviation can be corrected, then the specialist conducts it independently. In the case when the deviations are deeper, the teacher - speech therapist of the kindergarten directs the child to a psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation (PMPK).
Step 3
Specialists of the PMPK must conduct a comprehensive examination of the child. As a rule, it is carried out by such specialists as a teacher - a psychologist, a teacher - a speech therapist, a teacher - a defectologist, etc. Each of the specialists makes his own diagnosis. In the general conclusion, the PMPK specialists give a recommendation to visit a speech therapy kindergarten. They also give the child's parents a referral to a specialized kindergarten for submitting it to the Education Department of the City (District) Administration.
Step 4
The Department of Education, based on the direction of the PMPK, must provide a ticket to the recommended kindergarten. In addition, the specialists of the department must inform parents about the availability of places in speech therapy kindergartens (groups) in order to select the most optimal option.
Step 5
If there are speech therapy groups in a mass kindergarten, then on the basis of the results of the diagnostic examination and the conclusion of the psychological - medical - pedagogical council of the preschool educational institution, the child is also sent to the PMPK. In case of a positive decision, the child is transferred from the mass group to the speech therapy group on the basis of the order of the head of the preschool educational institution.
