For children 1-3 years old, you need to choose small books that have thick cardboard pages, because children of this age can chew them a little. Of course, books should be colorful, with pictures of animals and babies. For this age, books with rhymes, songs and the simplest fairy tales are suitable. Books should be placed in accessible places for the child. For a kid from three to seven years old, thin colorful books with poems, fairy tales and stories are suitable. Each page should have small text, with large pictures and letters. The most suitable are those books that the child reads himself from beginning to end in one sitting.

For children from seven to eleven years old, you can safely choose books with fairy tales, stories from three to five pages. After the child has read it, it is necessary to solemnly write down the title of the book in a special notebook in the presence of the child. As the list grows, the child's self-esteem will increase. It will not be superfluous to praise the child every time. For this age, stories about animals, fairy tales, adventures of peers are suitable.

For children from eleven to sixteen years old, when choosing books, you need to take into account the child's hobbies. For this age, the following tips should be taken into account: - do not lay out a whole pile of books in front of the child, as such a volume of work to be done will scare him. - start a reader's diary. In it, you can write down the names of the books you have read, draw characters, write your opinion. - lay out books in a visible and accessible place in the child's room. - do not force the child to read a lot, let this lesson take a little time, but it will become regular.
