Warm shoes for a baby - what could be more touching? For them, you don't need to buy anything, there will always be scraps in the house of any needlewoman. Many people prefer to knit booties, but sewn ones can be practical and original.
Necessary
- Scraps of flannel or other soft, warm fabric
- Paper
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Tape measure
Instructions
Step 1
Circle the baby's leg onto a piece of paper. Cut out the template. Draw a sweep of the top. To do this, circle the template onto another sheet. Find the middle of the heel and the middle of the toe and connect them with a line. Along this line, increase the toe by 1 cm and the heel also by 1 cm. From the resulting point on the side of the heel, draw perpendiculars in both directions and set aside 9 cm on them in one and the other direction. From the end point of the heel, measure 6-7 cm along the midline and make an incision.
Step 2
Transfer the sole and upper pattern to the fabric, adding 2 cm to the seams on all sides.
Cut out 4 strips obliquely, slightly longer lengths of the cut and a width of 2, 5 - 3 cm. Fold the top detail and inlay right sides to each other, stitch. Fold the tape over to the wrong side and iron it. Fold in the binding and sew on the typewriter.
Reinforce the end of the cut by sewing on a piece of soft fabric from the wrong side.
Step 3
Decorate the top of the booties. Gather the top detail along the edge of the toe. Sew the heel seams.
Step 4
Fold the sole and top of the bootie right-side up. Tweak the gathers on the toe if necessary. Sweep or pin and stitch did. Treat seams if necessary.
