Booties are an indispensable attribute of a newborn's wardrobe. The baby's feet should always be warm, and the socks usually roll off the small feet. This is where soft and warm booties come to the rescue, which firmly hold on to the legs and warm the child's feet. It will not be difficult to knit them, even for a beginner knitter.
Necessary
- - 50 g of wool yarn;
- - knitting needles number 2, 5-3;
- - threads to match the yarn.
Instructions
Step 1
For booties, choose soft natural merino or alpaca wool. This wool is not prickly and is very warm. But if the baby is prone to allergies, then use soft acrylic or special yarn for baby clothes. To knit booties, you will need very little thread, so they can be knitted from the remnants of which a huge amount accumulates in any knitter.
Step 2
Start knitting from the sole. Cast on 35 loops and knit with stocking or it is also called front stitch. At the same time, add one stitch after the first and before the last stitches on both sides of the canvas, and one stitch on both sides of the center. Do three increments three times in every second row.
Step 3
Next, knit the edge of the pico (from yarn in a contrasting color). Knit the first row with front loops, the second row with purl. Third row - one front, one yarn, two together front, so knit to the end of the row. In the fourth row, knit all loops with purl. In the fifth row - all facial. In the sixth row, purl all the loops again.
Step 4
Next, knit with a thread of the main color and knit the seventh row as follows: bend the edge in half along the line with the holes and knit together one loop from the knitting needle and one loop of the edge together with the front loop. And so on until the end of the row. From the eighth to the twentieth rows, knit in garter stitch, i.e. knit all loops in both the front and back rows with the front ones.
Step 5
Move on to knitting the sock. To do this, knit 19 loops, leave them open (and the last 19 loops too) and knit only nine medium loops: knit eight, one simple broach, turn, purl eight, purl two together, turn and repeat this eight times. Knit with nine middle stitches and left stitches. Knit the next row with purl loops.
Step 6
Then knit a row this way: knit two, knit two together, yarn yarn over, knit one, repeat to the end of the row, end the row with knit two. Knit the next row with purl. Next, ten rows of hosiery (front loops in the front row and purl in the purl row), and the next six rows - garter stitch (yarn of a contrasting color). Close all loops.
Step 7
Tie the second bootie in the same way. Sew the details. Insert the laces into the holes. Weave them as follows. Tear off a fairly long thread (it should be about four times the length of the finished lace). Tie it, for example, to the leg of a table or chair and start twisting, as soon as the thread begins to twist, bend it in half, straighten it and do the same again. Secure the end of the lace by tying a knot. This will create a sturdy lace. And if you take threads of a contrasting color, you will get an unexpected effect.
Step 8
Instead of such a lace, you can insert a satin ribbon or braid into the holes of the booties, having previously singed the edges with a lighter. Wonderful booties are ready.
